Getting rid of pet hairs that find its way into your carpeting and upholstery can be frustrating. Luckily, this article will provide some tips to get rid of pet hair on your carpets.

Baking Soda

Before vacuuming, dust baking soda over the carpets (no surprise coming from me, right?).  The baking soda loosens the hair from the carpet fibers and also helps deodorize at the same time (double win!).  Also, here’s a great trick which will make a notable difference; vacuum one area of the carpet using three passes, forward, back and forward on an angle, to really cover off the space. You’ll be supposed at how much extra hair you get rid of! Source: CleanMySpace

Brooms and Vacuums

One user gets great results from a rubber broom: “I use one of those “squeegee-bristle” rubber brooms to scrape the cat hair off the carpet into a “ball.” I then follow up with vacuuming.” And… “You can use just about any Bissell vacuum to easily pick up those dog hair tumbleweeds and it reaches under furniture.” Source: DogTime

Turbo Boost

Remember as a kid when you’d rub a balloon on your hair so it would stick to the wall? That’s electrostatic force in action. Our Rubberized Pet Turbo Tools take advantage of this phenomenon with rubber edges and a rubber brush roll. When a Hoover vacuum has “Pet” in the name, you can be sure the attachments are rubberized for this very purpose. The air-driven roller agitates these Stage Five clingers on your upholstery and stairway, while the rubber acts like a magnet to keep them from escaping. Source: Hoover
